Our attitude was influenced by the fact that the cabin was not available when we checked in. It was indicated that cleaning was in progress but it took one and a half hours before we had access. Gold Rush Inn
Parking was right outside our room. We had a slight hiccup with our room. However the Manager Jackie was very quick to kindly move us to another room. Jackie went out of her way and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay here again

Discovery Parks - Cradle Mountain
Clean and well equipped (standard) cabin. A bit cramped for a family of 4 but fine for two nights. Heating excellent. Walking distance ~400m to visitor centre and shuttles to craddle mountain.

For those that are roaming through Midlands and decide on making a stop in Cradle Mountain, there are a select number of accommodation options. Within 6 miles (10 kilometers) of Cradle Mountain, travelers will find 4 suitable lodging options.
Located within an easy drive of Cradle Mountain, are the Peppers Cradle Mountain Lodge and Cradle Mountain Wilderness Village.
The Cradle Mountain Hotel and also the Discovery Parks – Cradle Mountain are very conveniently situated if you'd like to visit the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre. The Cradle Mountain Hotel is 2 miles (3 kilometers) away and the Discovery Parks – Cradle Mountain is 1 mile (2 kilometers) away.
The AAA Granary Accomodation is located 20 miles (32 kilometers) from the central part of Cradle Mountain. If you would prefer another option, the Silver Ridge Retreat can be found approximately 20 miles (33 kilometers) away. Or, you could check in to the Cradle Forest Inn or the Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat.
Once you've seen Cradle Mountain, you should leave time to uncover more of the Midlands area. Midlands is famous for rural landscapes, lakes and mountains. Frequented visitor attractions include traditional villages. Modern visitors in this corner of Australia love mountain climbing.
